Our Story

Digital Dreamers was founded by three friends and former colleagues working it IT: Alessandro Sclafani, Darco Murja, and Roberto Bernardo da Silva. The three, each from different backgrounds, shared a common goal—to do more than just code and pursue a life filled with purpose. Inspired by Darco’s experience in Erasmus youth exchange projects, they set out to create an organization that would make a real difference in the lives of young people facing economic or social challenges.

What started as an idea among friends has evolved into a youth-focused NGO with a strong commitment to technology and community. We’re here to bridge the gap for young people with fewer opportunities—whether they’re refugees, facing economic hardships, or dealing with health and mental well-being issues.

Our Vision

Our long-term vision is to be a catalyst for digital transformation, empowering youth to shape a better future for themselves and their communities. We believe that by providing access to education, tools, and collaborative platforms, we can give young people the skills they need to thrive in the modern digital world.

International Collaboration

While our focus is on the Luxembourg community, we are fortunate to have strong international partnerships that bring valuable expertise and experience to our projects. Our partners include CET Platform Bulgaria, Fundacja-Patrz-Globalnie and Fundacja Graty from Poland, The Association of the Western Debate Clubs from Romania, Students for Future Students Association Romania, and partners from Turkey and other countries.

Our Team

Digital Dreamers is led by:

• Alessandro Sclafani – President, originally from Parma, Italy, now residing in Luxembourg.
• Darco Murja – Vice-President, a youth worker from Timisoara, Romania, residing in Luxembourg.
• Roberto Bernardo da Silva – Treasurer, a Luxembourg native, activist, and cybersecurity specialist.

Our governance is democratic, with all decisions made collaboratively by the team.
