Art Meets AI is a groundbreaking Erasmus+ youth exchange project that took place in Krosno, Poland, blending artificial intelligence with theatrical arts. The initiative brought together young people from diverse backgrounds to produce a unique theater production that showcased the integration of advanced AI technologies into creative performance.
Darco Murja, Vice-President of Digital Dreamers, played a pivotal role in this project. His expertise in AI was central to the development and execution of the AI components, ensuring that participants effectively utilized various AI tools to enhance the theater production.
Objectives
- Investigate the applications of AI in theater, including interactive plays, script writing, stage design, and costume design.
- Create a collaborative environment for young people to exchange ideas and experiment with new performance techniques.
- Produce experimental theatrical performances highlighting the innovative use of AI in the arts.
- Equip participants with skills to use AI tools for generating original images, designs, sounds, and music.
- Reflect on the ethical implications of AI in art and advocate for its responsible and inclusive use.
- Foster a supportive arts community and enhance cooperation among partner organizations.
- Enrich the community by promoting inclusion and unity through shared experiences and objectives.
AI Tools Used
- SoundRaw AI: For generating a custom musical score.
- ChatGPT-4: For crafting dialogues and stage directions.
- Leonardo AI: For creating images used in videos and animations.
- FakeYou & Parrot AI: For voice generation and modulation.
- D-ID: For animating images and integrating them with audio.
- ClickUp: For task management and project coordination.
Impact
The project provided participants with valuable AI and digital skills, theatrical experience, and teamwork capabilities. They overcame stage fright, learned to collaborate in a large team, and discovered creative applications of technology and AI. The performance, presented to over 600 students and teachers from various Krosno schools, demonstrated the limitless potential of AI in the arts and inspired the audience to explore innovative uses of technology.
